The LED lightning solutions are getting increasingly popular for many reasons – aside from efficiency they are also reducing hazardous waste to the community which is the case with old more traditional forms of light bulbs.

This trend is apparent with the experts in the field such as Matrix Lighting whom offers a highly competitively priced line of Viribright branded LED that are a truly “green” as compared to standard incandescent and mercury laden CFLs (Compact Fluorescent). One of the leading design and hot selling item is the LED PAR38 light series. The Par38 bulb is slightly smaller in size and flat in shape with a 110 voltage, lumen of 1100 Lm and 18 watts. The Par38 lamp gives of a warm glow light. As the PAR 38 light manufacturers explains, PAR38 lamps use 80-90% less energy than an incandescent bulb and 30-50% less than CFLs (Compact Fluorescent), significantly reducing power consumption and helping to achieve global energy conservation goals.

The PAR38 bulb generate very little heat, transferring most of their energy directly into light and eliminating excessive heat buildup that can adversely affect energy costs. They compete with the Philips PAR38 and offer great value. The PAR38 LED light is particular popular for its design and compact size and shape and sold to many businesses and institutions as part of the lighting solutions.

The new US Department of Energy report estimates that the rapid adoption of LEDs for general lighting applications should cut U.S. consumers’ energy bills by approximately $123 billion in just 20 years and save 1,488 terawatts of power in the same time frame. By switching to more energy-efficient sources, total US lighting power consumption could be cut 25% by 2030.

The reality is that there are millions of CFL lamps that have been sold around the world and they all contain poisonous mercury. If not for any other reason the fact that CFL light bulbs contain poisonous mercury should be the single most compelling reason to change to PAR 38 LED light!

The brightness and durability of the PAR38 LED Light make them ideal for use in displays and light sources, which semiconductor laser diodes have been used in everything from optical communications systems to compact disk players.

These applications have been limited however by the lack of materials that can efficiently emit blue or green light. For example full color displays require at least three primary colors, which are namely red, green and blue, to reproduce the visible color spectrum. Such a combination is also needed to make solid state white light emitting devices that would be more durable and consume less power consumption than conventional incandescent bulbs or fluorescent lamps. At present, incandescent bulbs lamps and fluorescent lamps are used as light sources are old, traditional gas vacuum type light sources with poor reliability and durability and a low luminous efficiency. In the past electric circuits are made of bulky glass vacuum tubes in spite of poor reliability and durability.
